Some of the best beaches in India are:

Palolem Beach

Marago and Canacona are the closest railway stations to the beach. The closest airport in Dabolim ( 1 ½ h by car).

Anjuna Beach

Varkala beach

It is one of the most beautiful beaches in India. Located in Kerala, it actually offers a relaxed and peaceful alternative to the entertainment beaches in the same area. The views extend over the Arabian Sea and the beach is nested at the bottom of a cliff.

The beach is located 10 minute drive away from Varkala town and train station. Two airports , Trivandrum and Kochi, are also located within 4 hours drive.

Marari Beach

This beach in Kerala is the best option is you are looking for an undeveloped, quiet beach.

The nearest train station is Alleppey and the closest airport is Cochin.

Om Beach in Gokarna

Gokarna offers four lovely and remote beaches, which are accessible by car (Om Beach), by a long hike or by a boat ride (Paradise Beach). Om Beach is the most happening of them and easiest to reach.

The closest airport to Gokarna is Dabolim in Goa. You can also take the train to Konkan railway stop and then travel by car for the reminder of the trip.

Baga Beach

Kovalam Beach

Located in Kerala, this is one of the family beaches in India. You can practice water sports and of course, you can swim here.
